Supplies Firstly, buy or hire a roller cage and buy a pack of ping pong balls. Then visit your local stationary store and buy some large pieces of colored card and some thick red pens to use as daubers.
Making the props – Take the ping pong balls, write numbers on each one and place them in the roller cage. Take the card and cut it into 10cmX10cm squares to form individual bingo cards. Using a ruler and pencil, draw a grid onto the card and write a random number in each box.
The playing space – Once you know how many people will be attending your party, make sure there are enough chairs and ample playing space for everyone. Before you start playing, ensure the playing spaces are well lit and everyone has a card grid and a pen.
Ball caller – Since you’re the host of the party, you may want to be the ball caller. But if you would rather someone else took on the role, delegate the job to a friend and ask someone else to be the card checker.
Snacks – Finger foods like crackers and dip, cheese and pineapple skewers and assorted nuts make perfect snacks for a bingo party; they’re not sticky or greasy and do not require the use of utensils.
Prizes – Provide some fun prizes for the winners such as a box of chocolates or gift vouchers for a department store.
